Ddd... Ddddiiii... Diablo III ?!
Potrivit site-ului GamingSteve.com (Steve fiind un băiat cu multe conexiuni in industrie), zvonul cum că Diablo III va deveni în curând realitate este cât se poate de serios.
Redau cu nesimțire mai jos post-ul original al lui nea Steve, și vă invit să urmăriți comentariile iscate de această știre, pentru că veți găsi și acolo câteva mici informații delicioase.
"It looks like the Diablo III rumor mill has started up once again with a seemingly innocent post on the jobs section of the Blizzard web site. A few days ago they posted a job for an art director and various leads to join "the team behind Diablo I and II" for "an unannounced PC project." I have been getting some inquires since then if Blizzard is indeed working on Diablo III and when is it going to come out?
Well, before I answer let me mention a few things. First, I don't want to get any of my friends at Blizzard in trouble, so from instead of mentioning "Diablo III" let's call this theoretical game "Beelzebub 3" and instead of "Blizzard" let's call them "Snowstorm". Second, my information is quality stuff, but it is a little old, so take that with a gain of salt. Third, err, well, there is no third, so let's get into what I know!
Let's the obvious out of way, "Snowstorm" is indeed working on "Beelzebub 3". Not only are they working on it, but they have been working on this game for no less than the past four years. In fact, "Snowstorm North" nearly completed the game several years ago, but what they developed just "wasn't fun" and been quietly reworked. This was actually one of the key reasons why Snowstorm North was closed and everyone was relocated to Irvine-based Snowstorm, so that the bigwigs in Irvine could better track and follow the development of Beelzebub 3.
As for what to expect in to see in Beelzebub 3, believe it or not but those rumors that were floating around a few months ago about the game were fairly accurate (by the way, I have no idea who started these rumors or where they came from). According to the rumors:
"Diablo 3 takes place in heaven. Hell is trying to take it over and it is AWESOME looking … Imagine the brightness of heaven being taken over by the darkness of hell … Imagine WoW but in a Diablo world in amount of size and playability … Also, guild housing is available in this game for those of you who know about it."
This information was pretty dead-on. It is true that Beelzebub 3 will be done in true 3D and it did indeed look freaking awesome. It is also true that Beelzebub 3 features a story between the conflicts of Heaven and Hell and contains a very cool feature where every single item in the game can change between a "light" version and a "dark" version. However this was also one of the problems with the original version of the game. Other than the ability for any item to visually change from light to dark it didn't affect the actual stats of the item or change the gameplay in any way. So the game has gone through a total rework to inject some "fun" into the gameplay and to make it feel like the Beelzebubs of old.
The core gameplay Beelzebub 3 will play pretty much like Beelzebub 1 and 2, but the game world will be much larger and provide a much deeper experience -- many more items, more levels when you go through the game for first time, more skills, more of everything. In addition, the multiplayer aspect will be greatly enhanced from the past installments and don't be surprised to see more than a couple of WoW-based concepts to leak over into the Beelzebub 3 universe ... such as two opposing factions (Alliance and Horde = Heaven and Hell), enhanced guild functionality, and maybe even mounts?!
As for when Beelzebub 3 will released, that one is easy to answer ... when it's done. Snowstorm is in no rush to finish this game and will release it only after they feel it's perfect. And after the fiasco of StarCraft: Ghost -- which has been announced for years and is currently going through its second round of redesign and reprogramming -- Snowstorm is in no rush to announce Beelzebub 3. Don't except an announcement until the game is near completion.
But there is some good news; that "leak" on the Snowstorm jobs page was no accident. If they are starting to leak information about Beelzebub 3 then they are starting to get closer to a final release. Of course for Snowstorm something "getting close" can mean two years from now.
Hopefully that will hold everyone over for the short term. Hopefully Beelzebub 3 will be announced at the next E3, I'll try to find out more before then and give everyone the dirt as I get it."

Diablo 3! Holy mother of everything! :O I shall await its arrival IF it decides to arrive! :D ->Cyrax: Hellgate: London e un cu totul alt joc care e facut de tipul care a lucrat la Blizzard la Diablo 1 si 2, a "plecat" si si-a facut studioul Flagship. Oficial, Blizzard inca detine licenta pentru franciza Diablo. ;) Plus ca Hellgate are elemente de FPS, desi e RPG, si nu va fi un H&S ca Diablo. |

Sa nu fie MMO!! Vreau un Diablo clasic, cum imi placea mie! Au deja WoW! Diablo III sa fie Diablo III si cine vrea multiplayer sa il joace pe Battlenet!! P.S.: Daca i-au angajat pe cei care au facut Diablo 1 si 2, cum crezi ca se va numi? Beelzebub? :D |

Mai, tu nu auzi ca Blizzard are licenta pt Diablo, numai ei pot sa il faca folosind acest nume. Sigur ca alte companii pot sa incerce niste clone, dar nu vor avea numele Diablo, asa ca stai linistit. :) Hellgate: London va fi diferit si posibil interesant, but my heart yearns for a new Diablo to fight!!! :D |

| Pai, pan' amu' speram sa fie Starcraft 2, punand acest proiect pe spinarile Blizzard North pentru ca Starcraft 2 sa aiba o tenta mult mai serioasa decat Warcraft, WoW, asemanatoare Diablo-urilor. Sau un proiect nou, care sa nu se bazeze pe celelalte universuri Blizzard (chiar daca acestea fac multi bani)... dar fie, merg pe ideea ca va fi Diablo III. lol Mr.Quackers in primul rand Dungeon Siege 2 are un stil diferit d joc, alte reguli, etc. Normal k dc se numea Diablo 3 si avea alt story era Diablo 3.. :))) si AOE3 dc se numea Diablo 3 era Diablo 3 :))) |

sper ca in 2 ani e gata. Cred ca ar fi mai interesant de jucat de wow. Am jucat wow o vreme, dar pana la urma m-am plictisit. De ce? As zice ca cea mai mare pb. a jocului este ca mediul nu evolueaza. Sper ca diablo 3 sa nu fie pe aceeasi idee, ca atunci tot plictiseala mare va fi :D |

Look at this from Snowstorm financial perspective. They have about 5.5 mil customers who pay to play WoW every month and presuming every customer has purchased a six-month billing plan (€10.99 / month - Europe) , wich is the lowest price to play then Snowstorm makes €60 445 000 every month. The first question you should ask yourselves is " Why on earth would Snowstorm make Beelzebub 3 something else other then an MMORPG?? " becuse even if they sold 5 million copies (A LOT) at a price a high as .. let's say €75 (again A LOT) they would "only" make €370 000 000 wich equals about six and a half months of WoW payment. Now Snowstorm's payday will soon be over (soon = 3-4 years --> look what happened to AO and the other MMOs) and they need to have something ready by then , or sooner and I doubt is will be StarcraftOnline or WoW 2. Now the next rethorical question " What will you think would happen if they launched Beelzebub 3 as a normal RPG without a monthly fee?? " . I'll tell you what for those 6 and a half months Snowstorm will loose a great deal of WoW paying customers (i'd say about 3 quarters) and 6.5 months is the lowest period of time I could think of. A quarter of them might be even leaving WoW for good. Another thing .. I think Snowstorm is smart enough to make Beelzebub 3 as much different from WoW as they can so they can cover all bases and DOMINATE the MMO market (maybe many of you think they already do). There will be some similarties but I parsonally think Beelzebub 3 will be PvP based ( -> guilds fighting eachother) , but I hope I'm wrong since I love PvE. As for all the hirings .. I can say this .. maybe Snowstorm decided that now is the time to expand , and if that's true we may expect some brand new titles and perhaps the sequels of their beloved games. Daca iese Diablo III atunci o sa fie un fenomen... CLAR! Nu shtiu daca Blizzard chiar are de gand sa faca un Diablo III in viitorul apropiat (vorbesc de urmatorii 5 ani)asta pentru k nu cred k vor sa taie din avantul luat de WoW... in orice caz... este o idee buna perspectiva de a avea shansa sa rup din nou "The Three Prime Evils" :D ... la fel k shi restu' lumii sper sa nu fie un joc on-line... decat pe battle.net; shi sper sa puna mai mare accent pe Sorceress... mi se pare k prea au taiat-o in II . Altfel... felicitari LEVEL... super-veste! MAGIC RULZ! |
